Several Spots still Available for Boys

We have a good selection of candidates this year for our camps, but we still need three boys for our August camp. We have 10 native speaker guys coming to the August camp, and we want to have at least one Ukrainian to partner with each one. If you are a boy and have interest in our camps, please call 097-386-7886 to set up an interview! You won't regret it. Our camps are a lot of fun and are a great opportunity to improve your English!

We will have our last week of interviews beginning Wednesday, 05.06 at Dreamtown Trading Center in Obolon.

Here is the schedule for the last week of interviews:

Thursday, 06.06 from 16.00 to 20.00 (ONLY at KOMOD by Livoberezhna - check here for details)

Friday, 07.06 from 15.00 to 17.30

Saturday, 08.06 from 10.00 to 14.00

Interviews will be in the 3rd floor food court at Dreamtown 1. We will sit at one of the food court tables near Texas Chicken and the China escalators. Look for a small sign on the table that says "English Camp Interviews".

You can come at any time between the listed hours, and the interview will take about 15 minutes. It's simple--just fill out a one-page application and speak a bit in English. It's a great opportunity for us to get to know you and you to get to know us.

Don't miss your chance to build friendships with native speakers and to practice English 24 hours a day! :)

Cost of the camp is 1200 UAH--a great price for 10 days in a nice sanitorium, 3 big meals each day, an opportunity to live in a three-person room with a native speaker, and lots of FUN activities!

Recruiting for Summer 2013 Camps begins this week!

We will start recruiting for our Conversational English Camps in mid-May. We have two camps this summer: July 16-25 and August 6-15. Interviews will begin after May 15. If you have interest, you can call 097-386-7886 or email ukraineenglishcamps@gmail.com.

Our camps are a lot of fun--giving Ukrainian students a chance to build friendships with native speakers from Canada, New Zealand, the US and the UK. We live together for 10 days in a great sanitorium in Pusha Voditsa, plus we play lots of games, have campfires, and participate in many fun activities. This isn't an educational seminar. It's a chance to rest and have fun while practicing your English with native speakers. Most students can't believe how much their English improves in such a short period. That happens when you live in a three-person room with a native speaker who doen't know Ukrainian or Russian. :)

Christmas Is Here!

This year for celebrating Western Christmas (December 25^th) we went wild with funny games, sugary sweets, and lots of company!  For food we had a mix of American and New Zealand traditional treats, and games took on a “blind-fold” theme.  We had a fantastic time with many people showing!

Pizza and Bowlig Time!

All our campers from our 2012 camps were invited to join us at Dreamtown Bowling Club for some fun and hanging out, and then we headed over to our apartment for some pizza and games!  (We really like games).  We had over 20 people come, and we all squished together in our apartment, which we all know makes any gathering automatically better. =)

Post Camp Reunion Picnics

The first week of September we gathered together with Ukrainian campers who attended our summer camps for our reunion picnics!  These picnics are just a fun time of seeing one another again out in Pusha Vaditsa where camp is and of playing camp games, eating shashlik and s'mores, and talking about our summer holidays and simply being friends.  It was wonderful to see everyone who could come!

Several places for young men still available

Although we completed our interview schedule Saturday, we still have a few places left at both July and August camps for young men. If you are a young man and have interest in participating in one of the camps, please call (097) 386-7886 to set up an interview. Please do it quickly before these final spots are filled. You won't regret going to camp--it's a lot of fun, and you'll be amazed at how much your English improves in such a short time!

Final Week of Camp Interviews

We will offer interviews on Wednesday and Friday from 15.00 to 17.30 and on Saturday from 10.00 to 13.00. You can come at anytime between those hours, and the interview will take about 15 minutes.

Camps are a lot of fun and they provide a great opportunity to practice your English. We have spots available for both guys and girls, but hurry so that you don't miss out! :)

English Camp Recruiting for Summer 2012 Begins!

Conversational English Camps International is recruiting Ukrainian university-age students (ages 17-25) for its summer 2012 English camps in Pusha Voditsa. These camps are a great way to build friendships with North Americans, British, Australians and New Zealanders.

 

The focus is not on English teaching, but on creating opportunities for Ukrainian students to practice conversational English speech with native speakers.

There will be 10 to 15 North Americans, British, Australians or New Zealanders at each camp, and 15 to 25 Ukrainians. Each Ukrainian will live in a three-person room with at least one American or British person. This is an opportunity to speak English 24 hours a day!

We will live in Slavutich sanitorium in Pusha Voditsa, which has good living conditions (a toilet and shower in each three-person room, plus great food). There is a forest right nearby for campfires and lakes for swimming. We'll play volleyball, frisbee and American baseball--as well as other games and activities.

Camp dates:

July 17-26

August 7-16

Cost of the camp is 1,200 UAH, which includes 10 days at the sanitorium and three full meals each day. It's a great value!

Western Christmas party!

We celebrated Western Christmas (Dec. 25) with fun games, presents and lots of tasty American food.

We celebrated the end of our first eight-week English club session with fun games, tasty ice cream desserts and an awarding of Certificates of Completion to those who attended at least six of the eight sessions.

Hat Party

We had a great time creating our own homemade hats for the party, then playing games and eating great food. We especially enjoyed trying to hit the pinata at the end of the party--to see who would be the one to break it open and to spill out all the candy. :)

We booked a few lanes at the Dreamtown bowling club and then had a party with homemade American pizza--Yum!!!

English Clubs are so interesting!

We started our English clubs in early September--playing games, drinking tea and discussing interesting topics!

The game Catch Phrase is great English practice and a lot of laughs!
